UPDATE: Who killed Shannon Saville?

In this episode, we share an update regarding the first case we ever covered- the 1985 murder of Shannon (née Cagle) Saville in Fresno, California.

It was a hot summer day in July of 1985 in a quiet, upscale neighborhood when the 24-year-old wife and mother was ambushed inside her own home. Shannon was shot multiple times by someone who was lying in wait, said investigators.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office has named two persons of interest. We have an update on one of them- Shannon's husband Tom Saville.

Tom Saville was married at least three times, with allegations of abuse stemming from each of his marriages. Court records indicate he had a long history of financial crimes, including at least one conviction.

Shannon's now-adult daughter, Desiree, spoke with us after learning the news . She was only three years old when her mother was murdered. She has been fighting to find justice in the case.

We'll share more about the update, some new potential developments, and details on what investigators say they plan to focus on next.

If you haven't already, you should listen to the first episode where we shared our findings from months of investigating- we pulled court records, connected with the current lead investigator, spoke with several of Shannon’s surviving family members, and even tracked down neighbors and character witnesses.
