That is what a family member of Brandon Lee Helms said to Katie when she was investigating the disappearance of the then 42-year-old South Georgia father for her TV series 'Unsolved Georgia.'
Brandon Helms, a beloved father, son, and brother, then 42, vanished in December of 2015.
Brandon vanished from the home he was living in shortly before Christmas of 2015. Some believe it was suicide. Others allege foul play.
Below is a text message his estranged wife recieved from his cell phone the day he purportedly went missing. Brandon's family is not convinced he sent it. Investigators confirm Brandon's best friend and roommate accessed Brandon's phone and deleted photos after Brandon vanished.

Extensive searches surrounding the property, including some with cadaver dogs, have not turned up any evidence that would help locate Brandon. His family wonders- if he took his own life, then why hasn't his body been found?
Both Brandon's estranged wife, and his best friend, roommate and the last person to see him alive have denied any involvement.
Brandon Lee Helms was last seen at a home on Teeterville Highway near Lakeland in Lanier County, Georgia, on December 14, 2015 when he was 42-years-old. He was tall and slim and his family says he had dentures and may be recognized by his thin, receding hairline and a slight hitch in his gait due to a knee problem.
